Remember that we are not talking about a “nation” but about individual decentralized Arab villages throughout the Land of Israel then called Palestina. Arabs that refused to submit to Israeli rule though they had no problem submitting under Turkish or British rule prior to this. The entity “Palestinian People” is a rebellious term in every way! It only means Arabs that were living in the Land prior to the establishing of the Miracle Born State of Israel. So where do these Palestinian people come from? There was no national assembly, no centralized rule, no national identity, no common cause and absolutely nothing to define them as a Palestinian People! Jews living at that time carried a “Palestinian ID” and so did Christians or Muslims! These had no common vision but rather just wanted to live in the Land of Israel under whatever conqueror that would be ruling at the time. None of the Arab citizens of Palestine then tried to form for themselves a “national identity” since this was an array of different people’s groups. If the Turks ruled, they were Turkish in Palestine, if the Brits ruled, they were under Britain in Palestine. A Palestinian was one who lived in the Land renamed Palestina under whatever rule was available. Christians had that ID, and Muslims and Jews had it as long as they lived in Palestina. There were Christians, Muslims, Jews and everything in between! There was no such thing as “Palestinian People” but everyone who lived in the Land of Israel, named Palestine (since the Roman Conquest of the First Century AD), were citizens of Palestina and carried a Palestinian ID. There were a variety of Arabs coming from different Arab countries all around there were Turks left from the time of the Turkish Empire that ruled the Land of Israel, then called Palestine for 400 years prior to the Brits, and there were British People, French People and an assorted variety of Jews from different nations. Until 1948 many different people lived in the Land of Israel that was under the British Mandate rule. Please stay with me unto the end so you can understand the magnitude of this lie that has been fed through the media to all the gullible millions of people in the Planet! There is no such thing as a Palestinian People That is in order to appease the so-called “Palestinians” or the “Palestinian People” that have a claim to the Land of Israel (the City of Jerusalem included), on behalf of their “rights” to the Land. Jeremiah 3:17Īll nations that attempt to divide the Holy City will be seriously judged and destroyed! (Joel 3) But why do they want to divide the Holy City? What makes Jerusalem the Center of the World? Yerushalayim is the City of the Great King, the Throne of YHVH, the Headquarters of the Kingdom of YHVH on earth and the Eternal Capital of Israel!Īt that time, they will call Jerusalem ‘The Throne of YHVH,’ and all the nations will be gathered to it, to Jerusalem, for the name of the Lord nor will they walk anymore after the stubbornness of their evil heart. Why is Jerusalem such a Big Deal? So many people with so many opinions so many nations have coveted her so many passions are provoked by this one city! Zechariah 12:3 Shabbat shalom, dearly beloved! And all the nations of the earth will be gathered against it. It will come about in that day that I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples all who lift it will be severely injured. After cremation of the Buddha’s body, the ashes were examined for relics a skull bone, teeth and shrouds were found (Singh, 259). “The are the Eight Great Stupas…In the city of Kusinagari, the place of the very powerful Malla tribe, between the two sal trees, he entered nirvana.” ( Astamahasthanacaityastotra, Strong, 4)Īfter the Buddha spoke these last words, he closed his eyes the earth shook and everyone felt their minds and bodies tremble and knew the Buddha passed into nirvana (Singh, 258). Be diligent in your efforts to attain liberation! I declare to you that all conditioned things are of a nature to decay – strive on untiringly.” (Mahaparinibbana Sutta, Singh, 258) “The Buddha-looked quietly over the community and then said, “Bhikkus, listen to what the Tathagata now says. The Buddha lay down in between two tall shala trees on his right side with his head to the north and spoke to Ananda about the doctrines of faith, rules of discipline to be followed by the monks and instructions about the disposal of his body (Singh, 258). The Buddha and Ananda continued on their journey until the eventually reached the Hiranyavati river, south of Kushinagar (Singh, 258). The Buddha told Ananda he was sick and in pain from old age and that he would lay down his body after three months (Singh, 256). When the Buddha was 81 years old, he gave his last major teaching at Vulture’s Peak and then travelled with Ananda (Singh, 256). The importance and profoundness of this place can be seen in the story of the Buddha reaching nirvana. The Buddha also previously died in Kushinagar in seven previous births (Singh, 256). The main reasons include: (1) it was the proper venue for the preaching of the Maha-sudassana suttanta, (2) to admit Subhadda, who was living there, to the Sangha before his death and (3) the availability of the Brahmin Drona who would solve the problem of his relics (Singh, 256). Kushinagar is the site of the Buddha’s parinirvana and was chosen for specific reasons. Many buildings – a college, high school, residential buildings and public rest houses – have been built in the vicinity of the monuments (Singh, 254-6). Kushinagar’s main road is the location of all places of worship, tourist attractions and accommodations (Singh, 254). The town is located 175 km away from Lumbini and has a population of about 26 000 (Singh, 254). Kusinara or Kushinagar is a town in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. It was broken in two pieces and was restored to its original form and installed in this temple in 1927.Figure 1: “Kushinagar and its environment.” From R. The statue was found by Carlleyle in the course of excavations in 1876. It is also believed that the Buddha delivered his last sermon at this place. The statue also bears an inscription that is largely illegible, but surely indicates the date of its construction to the 10th or 11th century. It is believed that he invoked the Earth to testify to the pious acts performed by him in his previous incarnations. The whole vision was a symbolic representation of the last spiritually charged moments in the life of the Buddha just before he attained Enlightenment and Nirvana. The idea was to present the Buddha sitting under the Bodhi tree in Bhumi Sparsh Mudra or an earth touching posture. It is installed on a large brick platform. They mastered the use of positive energy - or 'chi' - to empower themselves. Because they had no weapons, they trained common people to fight with their unarmed fists and feet. Īs the mogu empire began to fray, the pandaren saw an opportunity for a revolution. They were the storytellers, the brewmasters, and the healers who helped knit their oppressed society together in the midst of darkness. During these dark times, many pandaren tried to lift the spirits of their beleaguered brothers and sisters. Mogu taskmasters forbade their slaves to carry weapons. Their reign was incredibly harsh and brutal. Nearly 12,000 years ago, long before the War of the Ancients, the continent now known as Pandaria was ruled by a monstrous race of warlords known as the mogu. Creation screen description Monks are known for their skill in hand to hand fighting, relying on their fists and feet as much as their weapons. Perhaps most surprisingly, Monks are also adept at producing powerful brews they consume to aid them in battle. They view the world through a different lens, finding power through serenity and inner peace-then expressing it through artful combat techniques and powers that mend life. They seek spiritual balance in life and in combat, and as dangerous as Monks can be on the battlefield, they’re rarely looking to pick a fight without just cause. Monks bring a unique martial arts style to any fight, and harness an exotic form of magical energy that’s unfamiliar to those who practice other arcane arts. Other monks specialize in calling upon the restorative power of the mists to balance the good and bad energy within people, returning them to good health and fortune. Many monks prefer instead to “soak it up” and seem to revel in the intoxicating effect of absorbing blow after blow while their companions press the attack. Although most widely known to the outside world for their fearsome jabs and flying kicks, they refuse to limit themselves to a single method of combat. Masters of bare-handed combat, monks never rely solely on the need to have a weapon in their hands to defend against their enemies. When the opportunity for revolution struck, they were well-trained to throw off the yoke of oppression. Restricted from using weapons by their slave masters, these pandaren instead focused on harnessing their chi and learning weaponless combat. When the pandaren were subjugated by the mogu centuries ago, it was the monks that brought hope to a seemingly dim future. "The gothic presents characters either haunted by a dark past or desperate to bring some light into their past. He is very responsible and only uses his power to protect the weak. Moreover, the hero can never lie or betray but embodies the truth. These qualities are thought to be innate and even unexperienced heroes do have them. James Fordyce described this character with words like 'noble' or 'sincere'. To support that picture, key words associated with 'knightly' and 'heroic' are used in literature. The image of the 'Gothic Hero' is that of a chivalric knight. The ghost story's commercial aspect provides a further link with the Gothic, which has always been characterised by its wide popular appeal." By then, the transformations of the Gothic into new media such as film and radio were well established. In terms of subject matter, there is an extensive overlap between the two indeed it could be argued that the most characteristic form taken by the Gothic from, perhaps, 1830 to 1930 is the ghost story. Themes such as these are common both to the generically narrower form of the ghost story, and to the wider concept of the Gothic. The source of terror may intrude into the familiar in the form of the past and the dead or the untamed world of nature, or from the human mind, as dreams do (Banquo's 'cursed thoughts which nature gives way to in repose'), or it may come from the rational world itself in the form of a scientific aberration it may even come from such characteristically human ambitions and activities as war, oppression, persecution, which the twentieth century has made peculiarly its own. "Ghost stories have multiple meanings, but one constant element is the challenge they offer to the rational order and the observed laws of nature, though they may do so in a variety of ways, reintroducing what is perceived as fearful, alien, excluded or dangerously marginal. Through different times the focus of ghost stories changed as for example during the new technological inventions during the 20th century possesed machinery was a new field of ghost stories. Examples for ghost stories are "The Tell-Tale Heart" by Edgar Allan Poe or "Pet Sematary" by Stephen King. Ghost stories are defined as tales in which the spirits of the dead encounter the living. Necrophiliac desire for the dead woman (Heathcliff's digging of Catherine's grave) also points to other kinds of transgressions, such as incest. Elizabeth Bronfen's book Over her Dead Body suggests that Gothic writing itself may be an act of killing off the female as it transmits the animate body into inanimate text. Poe said that the death of a beautiful woman is "the most poetical topic in the world". There is also a Gothic obsession with the bodies of dead women. Reading about death serves as a reminder of one's mortality. The corporeality of the body is emphasized with gory descriptions of blood and grave worms. We don't really get sentimental scenes like the death of little William in East Lynne rather, the more gruesome, inexplicable aspects of death are explored. The Gothic is interested in what has been glossed over. It is what is unknown, and poses a threat to the Victorian mind which desires order. Likewise, the subject of death itself has often been ignored or repressed. These kinds of spectres can also be seen as manifestations of the return of the repressed. There is also the trope of the dead who return, as in Poe's Ligeia. The vampire hunters in Dracula have to drive a stake into them, to make sure they are really dead. The vampires who are undead occupy a liminal space they are at once both alive and dead. This thwarts the human wish for certainty. In Gothic literature, death is horrific because it is often not quite the end. If Gothic literature reflects a wish to overcome one's mortality, there is also a fear of those who somehow manage to transcend it, as in the case of vampires and Frankenstein's monster. Death in Gothic literature is associated with the supernatural. Frankenstein), all of which contribute to an atmosphere of horror. #Definition of gothic literature series#Gothic literature is obsessed with death, presenting constant portents of death, unnatural deaths, and series of deaths (e.g. Now, we know that there are other groups of Mandalorians where they have different sets of rules. "I don't think that there's anything more interesting than a character being forced into discovering what they're capable of, and who they are. Bo-Katan's reign of Mandalore ended with disaster, and the Armorer believes it's all down to Bo-Katan being gifted the Darksaber rather than winning it. There seemed to be a plot hole stemming from The Clone Wars which saw Sabine Wren literally hand over the Darksaber to Bo-Katan without any issues, but The Book of Boba Fett cleared that up. This meant that Bo-Katan, who wanted to reclaim it from Gideon, would now have to beat Mando in combat. During Chapter 16, Din inadvertently claimed the Mandalore weapon as his own by defeating Moff Gideon in combat. The voltage potential of the Neutral conductor is intended to be close to that of the local ground, and thus it is sometimes viewed as “safer” than the Line voltage. Power delivery is accomplished with the two power-carrying conductors, and the ground conductor is present for increased safety from dangerous voltages. The three conductors consist of two power-carrying conductors and a third Protective Earth (PE), Frame Ground (FG), or safety ground conductor. In most of the international markets, single-phase ac power has been standardized to be delivered with three conductors, although not all three conductors are employed in all applications. Some wall mount power adapters have a similar feature, but instead of changing the ac power cord, the ac blades are interchangeable to accommodate different regions or countries. With these products, it is possible to connect to different styles of wall sockets (in other regions or countries) by changing the ac power cord to one with the appropriate wall plug configuration. Many products with ac power cords have a standard ac inlet at the product chassis into which the power cord is connected. Different ratings often employ physically different connector contacts such that mismatched plug and socket combinations cannot be engaged.įor desktop adapters, the ac connection is a cord, whereas a wall plug adapter will have an integrated plug. The maximum current rating for the connectors is also standardized. Since wall plug voltages are standardized, the ac power connectors are similarly rated to provide sufficient insulation for the standard voltages. Most countries have well-defined plug and socket combinations, voltages, and frequencies. Let’s explore common ac and dc input and output power connectors and how they are used.Īc wall plug selection is typically straightforward and comes down to two criteria: In what regions and/or countries is the power supply intended to be used, and does the application require two conductors or three conductors. Dc output connectors are much less standardized, and therefore only a commonly available subset of the connectors will be discussed. Single-phase ac-dc wall plugs and desktop power supplies with ac wall plugs (input) and dc power connectors (output) are standardized, as are the associated voltages and maximum currents thus, the discussion regarding those connectors is greatly simplified. to create the largest hydrogen taxi fleet worldwide, fueled by 12 large hydrogen refueling stations, by 2024.Power supplies have both input and output voltages and thus often have associated input and output connectors. A large white barked tree can act as a reflector and shine light onto you. If you’re using a light, it can hit trees and branches around you making them noticeable to approaching animals. Stand in an open spot away from trees and brush, but keep something behind you when hunting under moonlight to breakup your outline. I cannot recommend a tripod system highly enough, they are almost essential to your success. You can leave your gun on a system like this to scan with lights, night vision, or thermal devices. This will allow for quiet and easy rotation from left to right. To mount your weapon safely, you’ll need something like a hog saddle or pig saddle. With the darkness as your camouflage you don’t need to sit in front of a bush or tree to conceal your body’s outline, unless you’ve got some moonlight shining on you.Ī lightweight carbon fiber tripod will allow you to get your shooting position up off the ground. Yes, that’s right, hunting at night almost requires that you stand up in order to see the predators better. In fact it’s almost too difficult to acquire your target without standing. I prefer to stand while night hunting, unless I can hunt from atop a vehicle, which is illegal in most states. |
